What good has come about today?

Earth date 13.08.2012

Today the new team member came on board. The on boarding session went on better than expected. Each recruit seems to be a case unto themselves. Soon we will have to start categorizing them and developing generic strategies for them.

Today there was also some good decisions made on the research front. Helping two people hold their existing line of attack. Was impressed with the business decision ability of colleague. Happy. Envious. Happy.

Emotional responses continue to be a problem. Emotionally motivating people is a topic for tomorrow morning's research session.

I would try and disguise the dollar amount in cheesy ways like saying "this will cost 50-K" instead of saying "This will cost fifty thousand dollars." But the main mistake I was making was not first ASKING the client what their expectations were. I'd just present to them, and pray to Jesus/Allah/Buddha that I got something out of it.
